Rostelecom-NMG JV to distribute Fox Networks Grp channels in Russia

MOSCOW, Dec 26 (PRIME) -- Media-Telecom, a joint venture of state-controlled telecom operator Rostelecom and holding National Media Group (NMG), will become an exclusive distributor of TV channels Fox Networks Group in Russia, Rostelecom said on Wednesday in a statement.

“It’s one of the first deals of Media-Telecom, but we aim to expands the portfolio of distribution of TV channels provided in pay TV networks,” Media-Telecom General Director Alexander Kosarim said.

The deal will comprise the acquisition of rights to distribute leading entertaining channels Fox and Fox Life, educational channels National Geographic and Nat Geo Wild, and children’s channel Baby TV on the country’s territory.

Established in 2018 on a parity basis, Media-Telecom produces and aggregates TV and video content and distributes TV channels and media libraries on the territory of Russia and the CIS.
